PRESS RELEASE
One hundred years ago in Wales, the National newspapers were reporting a ‘Sensation’. A young man 26 years old who had spent most of his life as a coal miner was now leading a great Revival.
Chapels needed crowd control
Services lasted through the night
Drunkards sobered up
Debts were repaid
Enemies were reconciled
Judges wore white gloves (due to no criminal trials)
White perplexed pit ponies failed to understand their converted master’s gentler language and to top it all, even sport was neglected as football and rugby teams gave up playing for prayer! Revival fire was spreading through the principality!
For the first time in a hundred years this story has been captured on a new video produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary. Filmed on location at the revival sites at Loughor, West Wales and using dramatic re-creation, original photographs from the words of Evan Roberts himself the video seeks to tell the story from the standpoint of the young Revivalist.
Discover his longings and hopes for revival and hear his personal reactions to what God was doing through him and in him before, during and after the public outbreak of the Awakening in November 1904.
Narrated by Selwyn Hughes (C.W.R. – Every Day with Jesus) and written by Kevin Adams a Church Historian and specialist on the 1904 Revival, this video not only accurately paints a picture of the past but encourages God’s people to pray and work towards a contemporary renewal of God’s work in this generation
Some responses:

Youth Worker – Wales
“We have watched the video, me twice! It has inspired me to continue praying to Our Lord for this nation (UK)…….”
